Accepting these terms
You accept these Terms by affirmatively checking the acceptance box when you create your account. Nothing is pre-checked, and using ROUNDS without accepting is not permitted.
When you accept, ROUNDS records your user ID, the document type, the document version and a timestamp. You can see the documents and their current versions at any time in Settings → Legal & Safety.
If we make material changes we publish a new version and ask you to accept again.
What ROUNDS is
ROUNDS helps people discover and coordinate real-world activities — a Round. ROUNDS is a coordination tool, not a chaperone, employer, promoter or guarantor.
ROUNDS does not guarantee safety, attendance, identity, behaviour, business performance, venue quality or the outcome of any Round.
You decide whether to join a Round, whether to attend, whether to stay, whether to communicate with anyone, and when to leave. Those decisions are always yours.
Eligibility
ROUNDS is 18+ only, platform-wide. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or take part in any Round.
You must give truthful account information, including your date of birth, and keep it accurate.
Permitted use
Ordinary consensual adult dating, romantic and social interaction is permitted on ROUNDS. Meeting someone you are interested in, on a Round or after one, is a normal use of the app.
Prohibited conduct
The following are not allowed anywhere on ROUNDS:
- Illegal drugs and controlled substances
- Commercial sexual solicitation
- Trafficking or exploitation of any person
- Fraud and scams
- Weapons offences or violence, including threats
- Harassment, stalking and doxxing
- Impersonation of another person or business
- Rating manipulation — fake, retaliatory, fraudulent or non-participant ratings
- Ban evasion and block evasion
Your content
You own the content you post — your photos, profile text, Round descriptions and messages. You grant ROUNDS a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, process and moderate that content solely to operate the service.
That licence ends when the content is removed, except where a copy must be retained for safety, moderation or legal record-keeping.
Ratings and reliability
Ratings and reliability records are only meaningful if they reflect real participation. Ratings left by people who did not take part in the Round, ratings traded or coerced, and retaliatory ratings are prohibited and may be removed.
Blocking and reporting
You can block any member from their profile or a chat. Blocking is symmetric: neither of you sees or can message the other afterwards.
You can report a member or a Round from the report screens in the app. Reports go to the ROUNDS moderation queue.
Enforcement
ROUNDS may remove content, cancel a Round, restrict features, and suspend or terminate accounts where we believe these Terms or the Community Guidelines have been broken, or where there is a credible safety risk.
Moderation may draw on member reports, automated signals, behavioural history such as no-shows and cancellations, and human review where practical. Not every decision is reviewed by a person, and no single low-confidence automated signal results in a permanent ban.
Location
ROUNDS uses your device location when you allow it, to show nearby Rounds and people, to sort discovery by distance, and to confirm arrival at a Round venue when you check in.
ROUNDS does not track your location continuously in the background. Other members see approximate distance and public venue locations — not your precise coordinates.
Safety disclaimer
ROUNDS IS NOT AN EMERGENCY SERVICE. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact appropriate local emergency services.
ROUNDS does not screen members, does not verify identity, and is not a safety guarantor.
Liability, disputes and governing law
[ATTORNEY REVIEW REQUIRED] Limitation of liability, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, dispute resolution / arbitration, class-action waiver, governing law and venue are jurisdiction-specific and must be drafted and reviewed by counsel before public launch.
Contact
[LEGAL CONTACT REQUIRED] — a legal notice address and email must be added before public launch.
ROUNDS product policy — not legal advice. Sections marked [ATTORNEY REVIEW REQUIRED] or [CONFIGURATION REQUIRED] are not final.
