Privacy Policy

What we collect

ROUNDS collects only what the product actually uses:

• Account information — email address or phone number, and authentication records
• Profile information — display name, date of birth (for 18+ eligibility), gender, bio, interests, optional community signals
• Photos you upload to your profile
• Location — coordinates when you grant permission, used for discovery, distance and check-in
• Round participation — Rounds you create, join, leave, attend or cancel
• participant_events — an append-only record of participation actions (joined, approved, checked in, left, completed, no-show)
• Messages you send in ROUNDS chat
• Ratings and reliability outcomes
• Reports you file and reports filed about you, plus moderation decisions
• Payment information — handled by our payment processor; ROUNDS stores transaction records, credit grants and ledger entries, never card numbers
• Device and analytics information — app events, error logs, device/browser metadata
• AI interactions — prompts and results where you use AI-assisted features

How we use it

To operate discovery, Rounds, chat, payments and credits; to keep members safe through reporting and moderation; to measure product usage; and to meet record-keeping obligations.

What we do not do

ROUNDS does not sell or rent your personal information. ROUNDS does not share your personal information with third parties for advertising.

We share data with service providers who run parts of the product on our behalf — hosting and database, payment processing, mapping and places, event listings, push delivery, and AI model providers for AI features.

Retention

Profile, photo and message data is retained while your account is open.

Payment, credit and ledger records are retained after deletion because they are financial records. [CONFIGURATION REQUIRED] final retention period.

Moderation and safety records, including reports, are retained after deletion so that bans and safety decisions remain enforceable. [CONFIGURATION REQUIRED] final retention period.

Analytics and error logs are retained in aggregate. [CONFIGURATION REQUIRED] final retention period.

Account deletion and participant_events

When you delete your account, ROUNDS removes personal identifiers as applicable — your profile, photos, profile preferences and discovery presence.

participant_events are immutable operational records of what happened on a Round. They are anonymised rather than deleted: the link to your account is removed, the record is marked anonymised, and personal details are stripped from its metadata. The event itself (that a seat was taken, or a no-show occurred) remains, with no way to attribute it to you.

For that reason ROUNDS does not promise complete deletion of every historical record.

Your rights

Today you can edit your profile at any time, control discovery visibility and online-status visibility in Settings, and delete your account from Settings → Account.
