Account Deletion & Data Rights
- Version
- 1.0.0
- Effective
- August 13, 2026
- Last updated
- August 13, 2026
- Applies to
- All ROUNDS members (18+)
How to delete
Settings → Account → Delete account data. You are asked to confirm; deletion then runs immediately.
What happens
- Any recurring membership is set to stop renewing at the end of the period you have already paid for — there is no automatic refund
- Unspent Round Credits are forfeited and written off in the ledger
- Your profile, photos, preferences, discovery presence and profile-linked data are removed
- You are signed out and can no longer sign in with that account
What is kept, and why
participant_events — the immutable record of participation actions on Rounds — are anonymised rather than deleted. The link to your account is removed, the record is marked anonymised, and personal details are stripped from its metadata. Other people's Round history stays accurate, and nothing in it points back to you.
Financial records (payments, credits, ledger entries) and safety records (reports, moderation actions) are retained as required for accounting and for keeping enforcement decisions effective.
ROUNDS therefore does not promise complete deletion of every historical record.
Other rights
[ATTORNEY REVIEW REQUIRED] Jurisdiction-specific access, portability, correction and appeal rights, and the required handling timelines.
[CONFIGURATION REQUIRED] A self-serve data export is not implemented today.
ROUNDS product policy — not legal advice. Sections marked [ATTORNEY REVIEW REQUIRED] or [CONFIGURATION REQUIRED] are not final.
